Welcome to the Weavers Practice

COVID - 19 Vaccinations.

As per recent guidelines, we have now been advised to vaccinate patients with 1st doses only. From the 11th January if you have been given your 1st dose you will be contacted within 12 weeks to attend for your second dose.

Care home residents - COVID-19 vaccinations for anybody living in a

care home will be done by our Care Home Nurses. They will attend the care homes and vaccinate residents accordingly. They have already started to vaccinate and hope to be completed in the next couple of weeks.

PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE SURGERY - WE WILL BE IN TOUCH TO BOOK 2ND DOSES.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING AND PATIENCE DURING THESE DIFFICULT TIMES.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF MINOR INJURIES UNIT - ACCRINGTON VICTORIA HOSPITAL

Due to unprecedented demand on the Urgent and Emergency pathway and issues relating to sickness and absence of Emergency Nurse Practioners, a decision has been made to close the Minor Injuries unit from 10th January 2021 until further notice.

Royal Blackburn and Burnley General Hospitals will remain open.

Patients are being encouraged to use "self help" - NHS 111 first and access Pharmacies which are open during the festive period to help reduce the burden during this very challenging time.

As a result of the current coronavirus pandemic, we have had to make a number of changes to our working environment, how we run our clinics and adapt to new ways of working in order to keep both patients and staff as safe as possible.

Despite the current pandemic the doctors and staff at The Weavers Practice are committed to providing a high standard of patient care.

We run clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as Diabetes, Asthma, COPD and offer a wide variety of other medical services which include: antenatal and postnatal care, vaccinations, minor surgery, NHS health checks and phlebotomy.

      Medical Record Digitalisation

Lancashire and South Cumbria has been chosen by NHS England to pilot this project. This means that all paper records will be scanned so they become digital. For more information about this, please copy and paste the link below for more information.
